Call transfers from Call Manager 5 to CME

I have a Call Manager 5 system with IP trunks connecting to multiple CME systems. When I try to perform a call transfer (or call hold) on a Call Manager handset there is no response from the system. Handsets on the CME system can perform transfers.

From my research this appears to be related to MTP at the CM site? Can someone please confirm the necessary config steps to make this possible.

If this is a SIP trunk then yes you need an MTP resource on the Call Manager Side of things, the MTP can be Call Manager.


Make sure you have the MTP assigned to MRG, MRGL applied to the trunk and make sure you have "require MTP" checked.
