I have a link E1 between routers Cisco 7206, on the one side the Cisco 7206 has PA-MC-8E1-UNBAL card with BNC conectors and on the other one PA-MC-8E1+ card with RJ48 conectors. This E1 is part of a multilink ppp.

The configurations and results are:

How can I do to work this E1. Pls your help.

Thanks,

Would I be correct in assuming that this link used to work and then stopped working (rather than being a new install which is not working and has never worked)?

It looks to me like the E1 has a problem in the network. I would check with the provider and ask them to check the link.

For testing purposes you could take the E1 out of the multilink bundle and work with it as an isolated link. But I do not believe that the problem has anything to do with multilink.

Thanks Rick.

This E1 is new and has never worked. I have others E1s but between PA-MC-8E1+ ports, these are working.

Also, I tested this link take out of the multilink but I get the same result.

The E1 provider tells me that all is ok.

Thanks,

With the number of packets sent and received I thought it might be an existing link:

343794192 packets input, 2549208985 bytes, 0 no buffer

Received 0 broadcasts, 0 runts, 4 giants, 0 throttles

213263195 input errors, 62610010 CRC, 0 frame, 1000 overrun, 0 ignored, 150

652185 abort

345064202 packets output, 2914045575 bytes, 0 underruns

If you look at the number of errors there is certainly something wrong. I am not clear whether the different card types is a problem. Perhaps someone with more experience can help with this.

Can you post the configuration of the controllers from both ends?
