Why less DRAM in cisco routers/switches

Unanswered Question
Dec 19th, 2007

Nowdays memory has been so cheap. Why don't the cisco routers/switches support memory such as 1 GB ?

I know that high end routers/switches do but why can't cisco get this in the low-end products also , i don't think it will affect cost to much larger extent

I have this problem too.

Try to post in the LAN switching/routing forum to see if you get an answer. You may not as this is more of a product design/enhancement issue.
