We had the video conferencing unit installed and whilst we get decent picture quality the sound is very scratchy. I have noted that the audio packets were dropped but there was no jitter.

The link is between two 871 router.

The running config of two routers are attached.

The voice from R01 to R02 is clear but from R02 to R01 is very scratchy.

Cfg's need some work. Policy applied to fe4 doesn't do much for you however, you might get away with it as the media is ethernet and you mentioned jitter was low. voice packet drops and choppy voice suggest a codec problem . Check the video endpoint settings - either g711 or g729 BOTH ends should be fine. If you have WAN policies at play ( and using video across the WAN) make sure they do not interfere with this policy. If available use the H264 codec for video as it's more efficient. (every Byte counts)

The attached config worked well elsewhere and should help validate your own setup. The "B" end of this cfg is reflective of this. Left that to you. Good Luck!

The link between two router is a SHDSL Link with 2MB bandwidth.

Can I apply your suggested policy on such a this link?
