Campus Manager 4.0.6: Path analysis problem

Hi folks!

I've LMS 2.6 with campus manager 4.0.6.

I launched the following Path Analysis:

Report for the trace between 172.16.0.15 and 172.16.0.108.

=====================================================

Error: Unable to get the first hop information from the source device 10.22.254.69

and the above error was appear..

The IP is an interface of the first Switch 172.16.0.15.

Which protocol have to be met from source and destination?

Thanks a lot!

Leonardo

For Path Analysis to work, all hops must be either Data Collected or in User Tracking, source routing must be enabled throughout the path, and the CiscoWorks server must be able to reach every hop along the path.

That said, Path Analysis has always been buggy. There were some fixes that went in lately, so you would be best served to upgrade to Common Services 3.0.6 and Campus 4.0.10 before testing it out.

So, what mean all hops must be Data Collected?

Do you mean the sorce and the destination have to collected data in the Campus Manger Data Collection?

the hop that you said.. mean the traceroute reachbility?

Thanks a lot!

Leonardo

All nodes along the path must either appear on the topology map with a proper green icon, or they must be end hosts or IP phones in User Tracking.

As for reachability, the CiscoWorks server must be able to traceroute and ping each node along the path (on Windows this means ICMP connectivity to all nodes).
