ASA User License

I have an ASA with a 10 user license. There are occasionally more than 10 users going out. What is the logic used to determine the 10 users (IPs) allowed? How long must a host be inactive before it times out? Can this timeout value be set?

I think it's by MAC address. The switch can learn more than 10, but the first 10 it learns will have connectivity. Once it ages out of the arp cache and a new one is learned that new device should be able to connect. I believe the arp timeout is 5 minutes.
