Hi,

Enable logging on your client to see why the connection is being dropped. Check the that the vpn server does not require firewall or certificate/smart card authentication.

hi,

The logging is already enabled, but there is no log file created.

hi,

You may need to increase the logging level to level 3

Do you know which version you are running? I ran into this a little bit back, read the release notes. There are only a few versions that work with Vista.

I forget the exact versions, but the latest release (at that time), was not a version that worked with Vista.

Mike

Its Ver 5.0

if you are trying to connect from home and have an end user router (eg. dlink, netgear etc). Then it is likely that the VPN is being blocked at the router by the firewall.

Is the Vista 32 or 64 Bit OS.

If this is 64 bit OS, then VPN Client Version 5.0 is not supported.

Can you let us know. Thanks!

Regards,

Arul

Well this is the most generic error and it may because of following reasons.

1) Problem with the Modem

2) Problem with the Internet link

3) Router blocking the VPN (Well this the rare case)

4) Any personal desktop firewall which may be blocking this connection.

Check the internet connectivity by browsing any websites. If it works then try coonecting VPN. Check the event logs.
