VPN and Outlook 2003

Unanswered Question

All remote users are having an issue in Outlook 2003 booking a conference room as a resource. You get "The information store could not be opened. Unable to directly book a resource for this meeting." We have no problem doing this when we are on our LAN, only when connected through VPN. Sending and receiving email works fine. I have added the exchange server to the hosts file and lmhosts file, I can ping the exchange server by name and IP address. We have a 3030 VPN concentrator and still on Exchange 5.5. Does anyone have any ideas to resolving this?

Thanks ahead of time.

I have this problem too.

There might be an MTU issue, in which case you could try setting the MTU on the client side a little lower than the default. The default is 1300. You can also do some testing by pinging the outside interface of the concentrator with different packet sizes to see what it will accept. Set the MTU on the client down to the next lowest hundred.

ping -f -l
