Using Cisco Unified Video Adventage with a SIP Firmware

Answered Question

Is Cisco Unified Video Adventage compatible with SIP Firmaware ?

Currently I have a Cisco IP Phone 7941 using SIP firmware (please note that is using SIP), and I installed Cisco Unified Video Advantage on the PC that is connected to that phone.

Althought on the Cisco Unified Video Advantage the image corresponding to the phone gets focus (seems that the program "sees" the phone) I got an errror telling me that "Cisco Unified Video Advantage is not connected to any phone"....

I am afraid of that being caused because this program only recognizes SCPP firmwares, but to say the true, if that is the reason, it seems a serious limitation... My business standarizes on SIP, and that is more frecuent on other business each day....

Any help or suggestion to use Cisco Unified Video Adventage with a SIP firmware would be welcomed.

Thks

CUVA is not supported with SIP phones. See the following link for confirmation.

Hope this helps. If so, please rate the post.
