VPN performance being the main consideration. Which device would best handle up to 50 concurrent SSL VPN connections and up to 100 Site-to-Site VPN connections, and ASA 5510 or 2801 router?

I have this problem too.

Ken, Please see bellow links comparison asa 5510 maximun tunnels is 250. The 2801 with onboard vpn can support up to 50 tunnels.

If 2801 is added the AIM-VPN/SSL-2 vpn module card it can support up to 1500 tunnels.
