adsl PPPoA transparent (bridge) configuration

Hi,

I'm trying to setup my 827 to be transparent between ADSL and ethernet. So I get the one public IP assigned to my firewall.

I found <http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios122/122cgcr/fwan_c/wcfppp.htm#wp1005835> and tried the dsl7200 as a template, as it looks like what I want to achieve.

With my current config (attached) I am able to setup pptp between my firewall an the 827 and setup ADSL PPPoA session as individual sessions.

I would like to know if this setup is going to work and if yes what I did wrong.

I would also like to know if this is *the* setup to get a transparent router and what the other configuration options are (pointers?).

thanks in advance

GRTNX,

RobJE

With the problem config, do you know why the session is going down?. Where the session flap is getting triggered from like ATM vc going down OR PPP terminating the session etc?.If the router is running the PPPoE client or server software, the virtual-template and virtual-access interfaces do not support a service policy that implements per-session queueing. However, a service policy that applies QoS features other than queueing can be applied to the interface virtual-template or interface dialer, and the MQC features will work on per-session basis."
