E1 R2 configuration

We need to deploy Cisco IPT in Manila. But they're using E1 R2 for DID (incoming) trunks and analog CO for outgoing trunks. Can anyone share the vg configuration as we know this vg should be h323 config? Would you please also suggest which IOS is better work for E1 R2? The vg we use is C2851 and our CCM is 4.1(3) SR3a.

Hi,

yes, you must use H.323 or SIP for E1 R2.

I suggest you use 12.4(3j) for the router.

The R2 support has knowledge of the Phillipines:

But all further customization must be done in-site.

Here is a example of my E1 R2 setup from Mx using a 3825 in H323 hope this helps

Thanks. The exsiting E1 R2 DID is subscribed from PLDT of Manlia. Is there exact configuration sample in vg?

Besides, is there any special configuration in CCM admin?

Hi,

each and any E1 R2 configuration is different. Because of this I said above, you need to find the exact parameters once in place.
