Guys,

Am I correct in saying the following for CatOS:

0x10F does the following

Switch to boot image from specified file. - If specified file is not there? does it just go into rommon mode?

Baud = 9600

Ignore config = disabled?

and

0x2102 does the following

uses the first file in flash? = what part of flash ?? If no file in flash? then use boot env?

Baud = 9600

Ignore config = disabled?

Could someone just clarify these points for me :

0x10f

If specified file is not there? does it just go into rommon mode?

0x2102

uses the first file in flash? = what part of flash ??

Many thx indeed, and Merry Christmas to all.

Ken

also, can I just confirm that CatOS is exactly the same as IOS for config-reg settings?

Thx

Ken

With CatOS, it's recommended that you enter a word option:rommon | bootflash | system

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/switches/lan/catalyst6500/catos/6.x/configuration/guide/boot.html#wp1020006

This URL is also useful on understating IOS values:

thx man. really good links :)

Thx for the help :)
