Hi All
Just wondering if it is possible to change the default behavior of prefix list sequence numbering so that instead of each line being sequenced 5 higher then the last I could change it to 10.
I understand that this can be achieved by entering a sequence number with each line I add, but I would like to know if the default can be changed on a global configuration level?

The default is 5 and as far I as I know, it can't be changed. However, you can disable the default with the no ip prefix-list sequence number command

Hi Edison
Cheers for the reply and the information. I guessed as much as I had googled and looked around the Cisco web site and found nothing.
I was aware that you could re-sequence and also that you can manually add the sequence numbers when building the prefix list. Just thought there might have been some obscure way to change the default value of 5.
