LDAP_Ironport.accept
(proxyAddresses=smtp:{a})

LDAP_Ironport.group
(&(memberOf={g})(proxyAddresses=smtp:{a}))

Any idea what the problem may be?

The ldap error that you are seeing is related to defect #38532. This defect is fixed on AsyncOS 5.5.1-011, which should be available to your machine.

Also, you can get the Release notes for 5.5.1-011 and get more details on this defect. If you go to the ( Support Portal > Email ) and the release notes should be available there.

Here is a snippet of the release notes that pertain to your defect.

Fixed: LDAP Connection Closes Are Not Handled Properly
