Passed CCNA, now what?

Unanswered Question

Just passed my CCNA today with a 947/1000. Feels great, but I want to continue to work on my professional level certs. I'm hoping to use this one to get into our network department at work, I work for an ISP. I'm trying to decide between going with either the CCNP or CCIP. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'd like to get into the engineering side of things eventually, so i'm leaning towards CCIP, but i'm not sure. I'm sure that I will eventually get both certs, but what are the main benefits of each? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have this problem too.

Congrats! Since you work for an ISP and it seems like you are leaning towards CCIP, I think that would be a good choice for you. You can always do CCNP after you finish CCIP.

Both certs have 642-901 BSCI in common. :)

CCIP tests/options are listed here:

CCNP tests/options are here:

Enjoy.
