How to configure VTP Pruning.Any advantages by configuring this.

VTP pruning causes information about each pruning-eligible VLAN to be removed from VTP updates if there are no stations belonging to that VLAN out a particular switch port. Use the set vtp command to enable VTP pruning.

This is generally done for optimal use of the trunk. The trunk carries info for all vlans. If there are no hosts for a specific VLAN on the switch connected to trunk, then the traffic for that vlan across trunk is unnecessary. So pruning helps the switch by not sending the unnecesary info on to the trunk.
