SSL VPN won't idle timeout after set time of 15 minutes

Unanswered Question

Hello all, I have an ASA 5520 that won't disconnect after the set time of 15 minutes idle (left SSL VPN connected for 8 hours last night, got up this morning and the VPN was still connected, I used remote desktop to open a server connection to make sure the connection was still established). Here are the settings for the SSL VPN. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

vpn-access-hours none

vpn-simultaneous-logins 2

vpn-idle-timeout 15

vpn-session-timeout none

ASA Software Version 8.0(2)

Device Mgr Version 6.0(2)

Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client Version 2.0.0343

I have this problem too.

In your configuration you have given vpn-session-timeout none this mean that there will no time outs for session. Timer will not work (you have given 15 min) due to Keep alive package, which will send continuously. So there will no time out.

15 this is only 15 seconds and has highest priority. But is also a value out of the range for valid time out if you configure it on VPN3k the time out has to be between 1- 1440 minutes.
