QoS on PPPoE setup.

Hello,

I'm trying to setup a QoS policy on my ADSL connection. I have a separate dsl modem in bridging mode (no cisco) and a 2800 router.

What I'm not sure about is if I should attach the service-policy to the Dialer interface of the actual physical Gi0/1 interface?

Most of the documents talk about ATM interfaces and they put the service-policy on the pvc, but I'm not able to find anything on the Ethernet.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

best would be for you to aquire an HWIC-1ADSL or WIC-1ADSL to connected directly the ADSL circuit and be guaranteed that everything works nicely.

However, if you cannot do that, here is a configuration example for a nested policy-map that first shapes and then applies priority:
