cisco vpn client 500003 and smc1211TX adapter

I have installed cisco vpn client on windows 2000 450MHz Intel Pentium III 384MB RAM with SMC1211TX Series NDIS 5.0 driver. On reboot, system crashes. I have to manually remove the cisco vpn client. Thne pc runs. Anyone know of incompatibility with this older ethernet adapter (SMC1211TX also called EZCARD 10/100)?

It sound like there might be a problem with a certain type of nic. Using SMC 1211 NIC Remove working 5.0.8 client via unwise installer. It is not compatibility with this older ethernet adapter.
