Hi,
using user tracking with LMS 2.6 and it works fine but ...
Is there a way to display the ip @ of the device (switch) on which is discovered the host instead of the device name (the hostname of the switch)?
Thanks

If you are referring to the User Tracking Utility, then no, the fields are fixed. However, the User Tracking End Host report can have its layout customized anyway you'd like.

Yes and no Joe. :)
If you convert your DCR and Discovery not to resolve for the entire LMS suite it will work that way.
My LMS clusters are all IP only as our device names range from 8-56 characters each in a variation on CLLI codes that dont mean much to our average supporting engineer, thus its IP only. Much easier to deal with when you have over 6,000 devices to support.

How can i proceed to do this ?

Its not difficult or involved if you've ever played around with the DCRcli and Campus. In Campus go into discovery options and uncheck update display names, dns lookup and reverse dns lookup.
In DCRcli, export your inventory (dcrcli> exp fn=/path/name ft=csv . Depending on whats in your export file is how you proceed. If column A has IP addresses , just copy that column over display name. If colum A has hostnames than you'll need to do the grunt work of retreving that information. Once the display name and column A are all IP, then reimport into DCR using import as the authorative source instead of DCR. If Column A was all hostnames you run the possibility of reinitalizing your inventory to day one.
Note that any dynamic grouping you have defined based on hostname will need to be replaced with ones based on IP address.
