Limit of Multicast Sources on a 2960 / 3560

Hello group, I have seen a problem with a 2960 and 3560 where after having more than 18 multicast senders results in severe loss of video frames. Each source is 1.5Mb/s.

When using the same setup with a 3750 I can have more than 40 senders without any issue. Is there some limitation in the number of source/senders on a 2960 and 3560? If so where is this documented?

The switches have pretty much been left at default as far as multicast goes, (IGMP Snooping etc)

I have tried CGMP instead but the result is the same, anything over 18 senders causes all of the feeds to be useless.

Thanks

Graham

Hi,

Did you find anything for your issue as I am facing what you are seeing too : with more than 20 senders, multicast is not working anymore for additonnal streams ?

The links provided previously do not give any details regarding this.

Best regards,

Romain
