Intermittent VPN Client connectivity issue

My environment consists of an ASA 5520 running 8.0(2) with clients using the VPN client 4.6.00.0045.

Majority of the times, I have no issues with the VPN client connecting but intermittently, this would fail. The reason being that the "remote peer is not responding".

On the ASA logs, there would be no record of any connection being made. to fix this issue, I would have to do a system reload of the ASA.

Would anyone have any ideas as to what this issue may be? Thank you.

Do you have idle timeout and dead peer detection set on the ASA?

There is no Idle timeout and no dead peer detection set.
