Hi all,
I'm trying to enable additive registrations feature on a Cisco 7204VXR (c7200-js-mz.123-7.T9.bin) without success.
RRQ and RCF seem to be correct (supportAdditiveRegistration in RCF and additiveRegistration in RRQ) but, as a result, "show gatekeeper endpoints" is empty (only blank registrations are present without any terminal alias (H.323-ID or E164)).
Without enabling additive registration (rrq dynamic-prefixes-accept) on AGK all works properly but we need the feature.
many thanks in advance,
regards,
max

The only good way is to have a backup GK that can service the endpoints while the other GK's configuration is being updated. This can be done using HSRP, clustering, etc.

I can't really understand this answer. We already have a backup GK and our couple work in HSRP but this is completely unrelated with registrations issue we are experiencing.
It just seems "additive registrations" feature doesn't work properly in Cisco Gatekeeper. In fact, with feature active, it doesn't take into account any "terminalAlias" E164 or H323-ID included in H.225 RAS RRQ messages.
The really weird thing is that Cisco GK answers with RCF.
Disabling "additive registrations" feature, all works properly and correctly (but with some not acceptable capacity limitations)
