Router Crash -need help

Hi All, one of routers got rebooted & I see that the show ver says: System returned to ROM by processor memory parity error at PC 0x602B6D4C, address 0x0 at 11:37:00 est Sun Jan 6 2008. I would like to know what has caused this and steps to rectify the same

When the indication is System returned to ROM by processor memory parity error that is pretty obviously a hardware problem with memory. I would suggest that your steps to rectify this would be to open a case with TAC.

1) What caused this:

Last reset from power-on

From the sh ver it says that the router was powered on, could be something as simple as someone shut it off and turned it back on, or unplugged it and plugged it back in.

2) It also looks like you boot the IOS from a flash card in slot 0. I would recommend booting from the flash. Do a search on cisco to find the steps in rommmon to boot from flash. It appears that your card in slot0 might has something wrong during the reboot.
