Hi there,

I'd like to have some help of you about the best strategy for creating a global DialPlan for my company. I was thinking about creating a 7 digit dialplan (3 for country code and 4 digit extension)..

We already use a 4 digit extension in the main site.

For dialling to other branches we're using:

Example for Portugal: * 351 22 xxxx

Example for USA: * 1 678 xxxx

Thanks.

Andrei.

The Cisco Unified CallManager Dial Plan specifies dial plan details for certain countries other than North America and describes deployment and installation of these dial plans.

You can refer this guid efor more information on dial plan design

Will 10000 for any one country be enough? Do you need to have the ability to do 999 countrires? Do you want to further encode locations in countries? Once you pick a plan it can be very hard to change. Leave room for things like new locations or mergers. These are some of the same things you think of when you device an IP addressing scheme. A group that has done that may have some lessons learned.

Good luck,

Terry
