Yes it is hot swappable as are the vast majority of 6500 modules. That's part of what you are paying for. Is it guaranteed that hot-swapping the module will not have any adverse effect on the switch - no it isn't although the odds are fairly low :).
If you can schedule the swap out of hours all the better but if you have to do it during core hours you should be fine but there is always the possibility...
