Cannot see added VLAN

Hey Everyone,

I have a Cisco 3550 core switch with 12 VLAN's. I have added another VLAN but it doesnt seem to be functioning. I do a "show vlan brief" and it doesnt appear but if I do a show run I see the interface for the added vlan. Any ideas?

Cheers,

Mark

Did you create the vlan at layer 2, in fact how did you create it ie.

3550(config)# vlan 12

3550(config-vlan)# name VLAN12

Jon

Commands I used to create a vlan is:

3550(config)# interface vlan13

3550(config-if)# ip address 172.30.200.1 255.255.255.0

Also, we have EIGRP routing protocol used.

Cheers,

Mark

The commands you used created a L3 vlan interface.

If a "sh vlan" does not show vlan 13 then use the commands in my previous post to create the vlan at layer 2 on the switch.
