Question on CCDP required exams

Unanswered Question

I am CCNP and CCDA, i took 642-892 during mt CCNP certification.

The Cisco CCDP lists 2 tracks:

Track 1:

642-901 BSCI

642-812 BCMSN

642-873 ARCH

642-871 ARCH

Track 2

642-892 Composite (BSCI, BCMSN)

642-871 ARCH

Does this mean I *must* take 642-871, only because I took the composite 642-892 for my CCNP?

The same page says for track 1the last day to test for 642-871 is 2/23/08?

I have this problem too.

Are you sure about that? If either ARCH exam works with 642-892 then why is only the older one listed? Also 642-871 is not currently listed under "Soon to be Retired Certification Exams".

I am hoping this is a simple error and 642-873 will work with 642-892. It seems it should since it is a newer exam and is designed to replace 642-871.

Can someone verify this for sure?

hi jan jong, I'm currently studying for the composite exam 842-892. Any advice or tips on how to prepare for the exam?

I also plan to do CCDP and CCSP before I proceed my my CCIE cert.

Off course first of all read the books to get the knowledge (it's a lot for both BSCI and BCMSN).

Having hands-on experience helps a lot. If you don't have access to devices you could use the dynamips emulator that allows you to run IOS on a PC (see for howto's and example lab setups)

To get a feel for the exam questions with practice exams/braindumps, etc. you can find pointers to a lot of this kind of stuff here
