Solved: Matching right Dial-Peer for CVP

Hi guys,

we have a voice gateway where an E1 is connected.

There's a "catch-all" dial peer used

to make direct inward dial.

Now we have introduced CVP and we would like to link CVP service to a particular

number: operator number.

In this moment every call is captured

by CVP and transfered to Operator. DID doesn't work.

We would like to make two dial peers:

- one for CVP and operator for the number

10011

- one for every other number 100..

so to be DID possible.

We tried in many ways without success.

It seems CVP service capture the call

first.

Can you suggest a configuration?

I guess you could try the following:

dial-peer voice 1 pots

description Example incoming POTS dial-peer callingHelloWorld VXML Server application

service hello_world

incoming called-number 57512301

direct-inward-dial

For the rest just transfer them to the Call Manager

Note: The gateway sends the call to Cisco Unified CallManager as a blind transfer.

dial-peer voice 10 voip

destination-pattern 575123..

session target ipv4:[call manager subscriber IP]

dtmf-relay rtp-nte h245-signal h245-alphanumeric

codec g711ulaw

no vad

You can absolutely do this, they should look something like this:

dial-peer voice 1 voip

destination-pattern 10011

progress_ind setup enable 1

session target ras

tech-prefix 2#

dtmf-relay rtp-nte h245-signal h245-alphanumeric

no vad

dial-peer voice 2 voip

destination-pattern 100..

progress_ind setup enable 3

session target ipv4:

dtmf-relay h245-alphanumeric

ip qos dscp cs3 signaling

no vad

I have it working at a lot of sites without any issues.

Have you looked at "debug voice dialpeer" to see if the correct dial-peer is being matched?

Alos, make sure you do not inculde the incoming called-number . statement in the CVP dial-peer.

Sorry but,

cvp service should be used on the firs dial peer or on a POTS dial-peer in your configuration?

Hi Christian,

in Chris config your first VOIP dialpeer will go for the CVP via a Gatekeeper request and the second range will go to whatever IP end you defined.

Why are you playing with POTS?

What is your physical network?

Our network is quite easy.

No GK. Only a Call Manager and a Gateway with

an E1 connected. Now CVP also.

In my lab tests I put the service on the POTS

dial peer connected to the BRI port of my

small gateway: there were no DID...only

one phone to answer and trasnfer by hand to

other extensions.

But here we have a number for switchboard

operator and DID for all the other

phones.

So customer has one hundred numbers 575123XX

where 57512301 is switchboard operator

number.

When call arrives we translate number from

575123XX in 60XX.

We need to catch calls for 57512301 (alias 6001)and let CVP manage them.

That's all.
