Has anyone successfully implemented DSL backup for point-to-point link? Routers on both side of the WAN are 2811s.
Any suggesion is greatly appreciated.

Is it internet DSL or private DSL? Are you running a routing protocol?

Both routers are running EIGRP. I am thinking of using a DSL line as a backup link between the two 2811 routers shdould the primary T1 fails, but I am sure of the difference between internet dsl and private dsl. Please expand on this.
Thanks.

One provides internet access and you would have to build an IPSec tunnel between the two routers, the other is just like a leased line, except it's DSL. Which were you thinking of?

Thakns for your clarification, Collin. I am thinking of using the private DSL. I think that I would need 1 DSL netork module in each 2811 router and configure floating static routes. Is this the proper way of doing it?

That's how I would do it!
