syslog purge problem

Hi

my syslog purge jobs are not running any more. Here is the info from the log

any ideas how could I debug this

Looks like the RME database is not running. Please post the output of pdshow as well as the list of contents under NMSROOT\databases\rmeng.

This looks okay, at least today. The log message, however, is from late November. Do you have more recent logs pertaining to this job?

no ... strange .... purge job is trying to run every night and it is finished with message that there is nothing to purge and is referenced to log file in wich I've found this error msg. I've changed this log file name so will se tommorow if anything will be there

what is your purge job policy?

Do you see any entries in the syslog that should be purged but are still there?

I have seen this message confusing some customers after purging all syslog messages for some reason. because after that purge (purge records older than 30 days)no syslog messages matched the purge criteria.

- the message just said there was nothing to purge - and that was correct.... 31 days later the message was gone...
