I just got done with my ICND1....im not sure if this is right or not but it looks like i can wait like 2 yrs if i wanted to (not that im going to do that) before i took ICND2 and i could still get my CCNA even though its been 2 yrs since i took my ICND1.....then my ccna is valid for 3 more years...but if i only take one of the CCNP exams it automatically renews my CCNA for another 3 yrs each time a pass one exam for the CCNP.....is this accurate?....im kinda confused.

I have this problem too.

The ICND exams are valid for 3 years, so you have 3 years from the time you pass the first exam to take the second exam and have it count towards CCNA. Take a look at the following link.

The CCNA certification is valid for 3 years. Any professional level exam will recertify the CCNA for an additional 3 years from the time of passing the professional exam.

Hope this helps. If so, please rate the post.
