Could someone please rescue me from the following error message from my 2611XM series router?.
"System Bootstrap, Version 12.2(8r) [cmong 8r], RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)

Will be very grateful if anyone could urgently help me out.
I have tried reseting the config register but all to no avail.

Looks like you router doesn't have an IOS on the flash or it is corrupted.
You need to download an IOS, and probably the best course of action is xmodem a new IOS onto the flash.

Thanks for the prompt response. I also thought as much that its an IOS issue but how do i go about the mentioned xmodem in order to install the necessary image?
