Solved: RME ssh config fetch fails

Hi all,

I recently had to import 1600 devices into LMS2.6 for a new customer. ssh only is allowed. I can ssh fine from the CW server desktop using the supplied credentials. However, the ssh mgt station to device test fails straight away. SNMP is good.

Sniffing gives bad checksum result.

RME transport settings are telnet / ssh for all.

Anyone?

You will need to enable ArchiveMgmt Service debugging and get the dcmaservice.log after reproducing the problem then.

Resource Manager Essentials 4.0.6 - patched on 18 Dec 2007.

When was it downloaded? The first post had a bug in it where SSH would fail due to timeout. The image posted now has the fix.

Hi Joe,

looks as though my bulk import was incorrectly done. Re-ran it with tacacs enable in addition to the existing telnet user. Configs were then archived fine. Thanks for your time. ssh confirmed as in attached log.
