Traffic shape (GTS) not working on 1812 and 871 VLAN interfaces ?

I'm trying to setup traffic shaping on a 1812 to limit

the Internet traffic incoming on a single internal PC.

The IOS version is c181x-adventerprisek9-mz.124-15.T1.bin

access-list 125 remark Limit downloads of my pc

access-list 125 permit ip any host 192.168.13.56

interface Vlan1

description 8port FastEthernet switch (Fe2 to Fe9)

ip address 192.168.13.254 255.255.255.0

ip access-group 100 in

ip nat inside

ip virtual-reassembly

ip tcp adjust-mss 1452

traffic-shape group 125 3000000 75000 75000 1000

arp timeout 240

The command "traffic-shape" is correctly accepted and saved in the vlan

interface configuration, but there is no shaping (my PC can still download at

full speed and I want to limit it to 3Mbps)

my-1812#sh traffic-shape statistics

Acc. Queue Packets Bytes Packets Bytes Shaping

I/F List Depth Delayed Delayed Active

Vl1 125 0 11 4462 0 0 no

The rate policer works: changing the "traffic-shape group..." line with

rate-limit output access-group 125 3000000 2048 3072 conform-action continue exceed-action drop

i can have a limit on traffic... but the bandwidth speed is not regular with the policer

and I would like to use GTS.

The same problems arise when using traffic shape in QoS rules applied to Vlan1

and in cisco 871 routers vlan interface.

I'm able to have traffic shaper works correctly when applied to phisical FastEthernet

interfaces (like FastEthernet 0 or 1 in the 1812), but it doesn't work for vlan1

and the command is not accepted on phisical Fastheternet interfaces 2 to 10 of the

1812 switch.

What can I do to shape the traffic of my PC ?

Thank you

Giovanni

I have this problem too.
