have a 3640 router and a switch with vlans in it. I want to use the (router in a stick method) but, when I create the sub-interface to specify (vlan-1) as the native vlan, the sub-comand (native)dos not appear after I have put (Router(config-subif)#encapsulation isl 1)

please I need you to tell me if there is another way to to do this in this router or if there is another sub-coman instead

of (native)

thanks

You need to use dot1q if you need native keyword. ISL tags all Vlans therefore it doesn't have a concept of native Vlan as native Vlan's definition is, a Vlan with untagged packets.
