Cisco's documentation states "..software conference media resource can handle up to 42 conferencing resources with three users per conference."
So, each Software Conference Device (the CallManager itself) can only handle three callers per confrence call? Three?
That just seems crazy to me.. Is this restricted by license or design, or is there anyway to allow more callers per conference without buying additional hardware?

A software conference bridge can handle up to 128 audio streams. You could have 1 conference with up to 128 participants or up to 42 conferences with 3 participants. Take a look at the following link.
