Redundant SCM does not boot in a CSS11506

The boot file is as follows

!************************ BOOT CONFIG ************************

primary boot-file sg0810107s

primary boot-type boot-via-disk

passive primary boot-file sg0810107s

passive primary boot-type boot-via-disk

The following commands were entered to sync the ios, configs and boot file

passive sync boot-config

paasive sync startup-config

passive sync image

Is there anything else I need to configure to make it work or is there an issue with sg0810107s?

what do you mean the redundant scm does not boot ? It will only boot if the primary SCM fail.

Hi Giles,

We simulated a failure by removing the primary SCM in slot 1 and the CSS rebooted but the standby SCM did not boot. We had to reseat the PMCIA flash disk in the standby SCM to boot it properly
