How many characters/char. type can a CVPN key profile support?

Hello,

I'm trying to configure a couple of profiles on my 3800 router to support Cisco VPN client connections.

Based on our security policy the passwords are alpha-numeric, 20 chars. long and are added a -01, -02, -03 sequence by the end. The thing is, the password won't take with this config. Any other simple password will work.

I haven't been able to locate a document stating whether if this is supported and how many chars. can be entered. Based on your experience, any insight would be of much help!

Thanks in advance!

The VPN Client uses parameters that must be uniquely configured for each remote user of the private network. Together these parameters make up a user profile, which is contained in a profile configuration file (.pcf file). User profiles reside in the /etc/CiscoSystemsVPNClient/Profiles/ directory. Leave the permissions for the Profiles folder set at drwxrwxrwx. Each profile in the Profiles folder should have the follwoing permissions: -rw-rw-rw-.
