Recertification after expired CCNP.

Hi All

Question. What exams do we have to do once we have expired our CCNP. I did my CCNP 4 yrs ago and now want to recertify. Do I have to start again from CCNA, do only one CCNP, do all 4 CCNP or what?

Please help and link me to the URL that explains it. The reference I have to it is below but it does not say about expired CCNP. Thanks

CCNP certifications are valid for three years. To recertify, pass any 642 exam that is part of the professional level curriculum after 01/01/06, or pass a current CCIE written exam.

I have this problem too.

Hi There

As I understand it, since your CCNP has expired, then you will have to sit the CCNA and all 4 CCNP exams again to regain your CCNP certification.

If you had not let you CCNP certification lapse, then you would have just had to sit any 1 (single) 642-xxx exam or any current CCIE written exam to recertify. But since your qualification has lapsed, then in Cisco's eyes you are no longer certified and have to start again from scratch.

Apologies for being the bearer of bad news.

Best Regards,
