Call Forward for SIP devices

I'm using a Cisco SIP phone with a CCM 5.1.

When I activate the "call forward" option on the phone, the setting seems to be configured only in the phone and the PBX doesn't know if the forward is on or off.

Then the PBX always has to call the device first and the call is forwarded when the phone replies "302 Moved temporarily" (with the new contact) to the INVITE.

For a SIP phone, is there any way to have the "call forward" option configured in the PBX rather than in the phone itself?

have the user call-forward the line in the ccmuser web page.
