Unity's not sending end user messages to Outlook.

Cisco Unity version 4.2(1)

Cisco unity is not sending one end user the wave file to their outlook client.

She is getting a notification, but there isn't a wave file attached to it.

Here's an example of what she sees:

Message Notification

Voice Count: 1

Urgent Email Count: 1

Email Count: 36

19074

Any ideas?

Go to Unity admin and find the subscriber. On the Profile page, look at Exchange information towards the bottom. Does the alias match up with the one account you found for the user in AD or is it something different?

So, it sounds like you have 2 different accounts for this user. Outlook is checking the lwysel account and Unity is sending mail to the LWYSEL2 account. One option is to have the user clean out their Unity account and then delete it. You can then create a new subscriber in Unity and choose to import an existing Exchange user using their existing AD/Exchange account.

Hope this helps. If so, please rate the post.

Any chance this user has a seperate AD account for Unity and just has message notification turned on?

Brandon

I checked checked this user in AD and only see one account for this user.

Go to Unity admin and find the subscriber. On the Profile page, look at Exchange information towards the bottom. Does the alias match up with the one account you found for the user in AD or is it something different?

Hi,

They do not match, the admin page says LWYSEL2 and AD has it listed as lwysel.
