Dell switch GBIC to Cisco 6509 SFP Compatability problems

Has anyone had problems connecting a Dell 3024 with an SX Gbic connecting to a Cisco SFP on a 6509(GLC-SX-MM)?

I am trying to use a 6509 with SFPs to uplink to a Dell switch that has GBICs. I will show a link on the Dell but no Link on the 6509. Both GBIC and SFP are Cisco brand. All fiber cables and gbics/SFPs have been swapped. Does anyone know if this is a know issue or if there is a way to fix it?

Make sure to disable auto-negotiation on the connected device as well. Verify that the trunking mode and encapsulation are configured correctly.
