Hi all,
If you use a HWIC-4ESW in a router that supports it, can those 4 ports be individually configured as Fast Ethernet 2/3/4, etc? (I'm a firewall guy, so bear with me :-) ) I'm getting confused by the "switch" aspect...
Basically, I just need more routable fast ethernet ports on the 3845. Is this the best solution?

You could use dot1q from a physical port on router and trunk to a switch thus giving you more logical interfaces, or do you realy need the dedicated L3 physical port.

We have a bunch of DSL lines that I was hoping to add for outgoing (and returning) web traffic load balancing.
I know there are DSL WICs, but I don't want to spend that much. So I was just going to put the DSL routers in Bridge mode and use those as the "Edge" devices to route out to.
What do you suggest, given those parameters?
