Forcing icm internet script editor user to upgrade

Unanswered Question

We are running icm 5 sr8 and are in the process of testing an upgrade to icm 7.2.8.

The plan is to do a technology refresh upgrade with a new domain and instance, most things are working fine except this little issue we are having with ise users.

We would like to force an ise user to upgrade to the new ise version when he logs in to the old isev5 server. I know this can be done when we connect an isev5 user to a isev7 server, the user gets presented an hyperlink which we can modify to suit our needs. But we want them to login to the old server and still trigger this hyperlink process.

Does anybody have an idea?

I have this problem too.

This might not be necessarily what you were looking for, but have you considered updating the DNS and having it forward http:/// to http://.? This might have the desired effect you're looking for.

I'm afraid thats not going to help, the root of the problem is that with migrating the users from one domain to the other we lost all of the user passwords (1000+ users). We want to redirect them out of ise to a webpage were we can do some php magic to set their password in the new domain.
