CM/IPCC Express Co-Res License to Off-Box UCCX

I need help understanding an upgrade path for our clients that are running Co-Resident Callmanager and IPCC Express. This was a common bundled option that started with Callmanager 4.0(2) with and intro IPCC 3.1x 5-seat license. Our clients are moving now to Callmanager 5 or 6 and would need to move the IPCC Express (a.k.a., UCCX) off-box to dedicated server. Part IPCXIVR-40ES-1B provides the licensing to move the UCCX to a dedicated server, but does not account for an upgrade needed from IPCC 3.x to 4.5x or greater to be compatible with UCM 5 or 6. So my questions are:

1)Does Communications Manager 5 or 6 still offer a 5-seat "intro" license for UCCX?

2)Can the co-resident license for IPCC 3.x be moved to another box and upgraded to UCCX 4.x/5.x? What licensing is needed if the 5-seat "intro" license is no longer included with UCM 5 or 6?

Thanks in advance,

Brian

Hi Brian,

This does still ship with CCM 5.x and 6.x :)

Cisco CallManager AutoAttendant comes bundled with Cisco CallManager on the Cisco CallManager 5 agent IPCC Express bundle.

Check out the 6.1 Features and Services Guide here;

The Licensing part is always a little tricky, but it should be able to be moved without issue. I would fire off an email ahead of time with your queries to;

licensing@cisco.com

Hope this helps!
