There is not much information here for us to work on. If you would provide some additional information we might be better able to identify your issue.

In particular:

- is the serial interface status up/up?

- can you ping other addresses that are reached through the serial interface?

- can you ping the other end of the serial interface?

There is another thread active in this forum about problems with pinging the local serial interface. Some of the potential issues raised in that thread include:

- multipoint Frame Relay interface that does not have a Frame Relay map of the local serial interface address.

- Network Address Translation with an access list identifying traffic to translate that specifies any source address is a match and should be translated.

Do either of these sound like they might be your issue?

If not then please provide additional information, especially including the configuration of the router.
