Hi,
Could someone quickly verify the process of Meetme.
As i understand to use this a user needs to use the meetme button to start the conference and then othere can join by just dialling the number.
My question is can someone call the meetme number without using the meetme button first because i'm sure you used to be able to do this.
Reason is i am setting up unity to setup conferencing with a PIN number first.I can call the meetme numbers from unity but i just get fast busy as the conference has not been setup using the meetme button on the phone.
Any help appreciated and rated
cheers

No, you cant :). you need to initiate a meetme from your IP-Phone.
Just Tell the People who will join your COnf the exact time, initiate the conf and let them join in.

The correct procedure is the following:
For the person initiating the conference:
1.- Press the MeetMe softkey
2.- Dial the MeetMe extension
3.- Press the MeetMe softkey again
For the person joining the conference:
1.- Dial the MeetMe extension

Hi Mark,
Just thought I would throw in an idea we have used before. If you have a few spare IP Phones kicking around (perhaps not in perfect, but still working condition) You can use them to setup permanent MeetMe conferences. You will need to make sure that the Conference Bridges have not been configured to drop if there are no participants.
Install these IP Phones somewhere that you can keep an eye on them and put a Text Label on the Line Button that has the MeetMe DN for ease of use.
Just a thought!

Mark, I don't believe we can have passwords set to the simple meetmes in Unity, if you find a way though, please let us know, I would like to set that up too, especially public meetmes I have configured with direct lines (DIDs)
