Duration for AD Schema Extensions to run

Enterprise deployment of UM over CM 4.2(3). I need to have the sys admins run the AD Schema Extensions script. How long will the script run? Is it based upon the size of the forest (number of OUs, number of users, etc) or is it a relatively fixed time, regardless of size. When I did the install in the lab, the script only took a couple of minutes to execute. Is there a way that the sysadmin can determine whether the script executed cleanly (other than the log and error files created)

The time it takes to apply the schema updates should be relatively fixed. The time it takes to replicate the changes can vary based on the number of domain controllers, link speed, etc. Ldif.log and Ldif.err are the files to look at to confirm successful completion of the schema update.
